ABOUT ME

I am honored when someone makes the decision to work with me to change their life.  One on one, I aim to create a compassionate, collaborative, conversational, and trusting atmosphere.  My goal is to explore your feelings, treat root issues, and discover your strengths to apply them toward healing and growth.  Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, or simply need help decreasing stress, you do not have to do it alone.  I would love to help you resolve your problems, enhance your life, and lead you toward the peace, joy, and hope that God has planned for you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Baylor University.  I am experienced in working with PTSD, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, adolescent issues, relationship issues, relaxation training, and self-esteem.

COUNSELING APPROACH

I believe the best way to approach recovery is by exploring and treating all aspects of a person:  emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brain Spotting, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Training (CPT), Prepare Enrich Training, and Christian based principles where desired.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

I enjoy working with ages 12 and up.  I am experienced in working with PTSD, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, adolescent issues, relationship issues, relaxation training, and self-esteem.
I would love to support you on your journey toward healing and wholeness. Together we will make goals to positively impact your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors so that you can experience the peace, joy, and hope you desire.  Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions about therapy or my approach.

BRAIN SPOTTING & EMDR

Are you are experiencing difficulty sleeping, panic attacks, anxiety, strong negative self-talk, overwhelming grief or sadness, phobias or increased fears, depression, or having difficulty processing a traumatic event (e.g. sexual assault, rape, accident, bullying, early childhood trauma, etc..)? If so, Brain Spotting or EMDR therapy may be right for you. These tools help your brain and body learn a new way to process disturbing memories or experiences. If you are interested in trying Brain Spotting or EMDR therapy with a trained professional contact me today.

For more information about EMDR, please check out the official website here.

COUPLES THERAPY

I enjoy working with dating, engaged, and married couples.  I help couples identify their relationship strengths, gain understanding about underlying dynamics that influence their communication, and then help couples develop skills to improve their growth areas.  As a Prepare Enrich Facilitator, I guide my clients every step of the way to help them restore hope.  Schedule an appointment today and begin the journey toward healing. I am also a Twogether in Texas Service Provider and would love to assist you in your journey towards marriage through premarital counseling.

VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS

Now offering virtual appointments to the state of Texas including all major cities and rural communities.  Whether you live in a big city like Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio or in a smaller city like Bastrop, Round Rock, College Station, Lubbock, Waco, or somewhere in between, I am happy to serve you.

Clients love the ease of virtual appointments because there is no commute, they can meet in the comfort and privacy of their own home, they can have the support of their loved ones or pets, and/or they don't have to hire a babysitter for kids that can easily be in the next room.
